APEX CON 2024: Weekend of Creativity and Community in Bacolod City

The SMX Convention Center Bacolod came alive this weekend as APEX CON 2024 brought together thousands of pop culture enthusiasts for two days of creativity, talent, and community. From November 16 to 17, the event showcased some of the best in cosplay, e-sports, dance, artistry, and more, cementing its status as a growing cultural phenomenon in Bacolod City.

The convention featured a packed lineup of activities that catered to diverse interests. Highlights included:

  • Cosplay Competitions – Featuring jaw-dropping costumes and performances by seasoned and emerging talents.
  • Gaming Tournaments – High-stakes competitions for both console and mobile gamers.
  • Dance Contests – Electrifying performances from K-pop and P-pop groups that had the audience cheering.
  • Workshops and Panels – Led by industry experts, these sessions offered invaluable insights for aspiring creators.
  • Artist and Merchant Booths – Providing a platform for local artists and small businesses to showcase their work.

Adding to the excitement were special appearances by renowned cosplayers Hakao, Gabo, Ultimate Senpai Alice, and Chun WX, as well as performances from local talents Sky.Xyla, Hera Lynxx, Sora, and Da Da.

The event was made possible with the support of the Provincial Government of Negros Occidental, whose commitment to nurturing local talent and supporting creative initiatives was evident throughout the event.
