In Negros Occidental, Philippines, the Lin-ay Sang Negros pageant holds significant cultural and social importance, dating back to its inception in 1994 as part of the esteemed Panaad sa Negros Festival.
This year, Kyla Rose Romarate from Victorias City clinched the title of Lin-ay sang Negros 2024. Standing alongside her were Zoe Clarisse Limson from Cauayan as the first runner-up, Patricia Ysabel Galapino from Ilog as the second runner-up, Roshyn Kate Jamantoc from Talisay City securing third place, and Gelisa Marie Nangan from Hinigaran as the fourth runner-up.
The pageant, spanning approximately three hours, drew a sizable crowd. Kyla Rose Romarate’s triumph not only earned her the prestigious crown but also a cash prize of P80,000 and a full scholarship courtesy of the Negros Occidental Provincial Government.
